Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Stephen Carey is a modern country artist. His formative years were spent honing his talents in all things music as a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, while mixing it up with a little salt and sand. Since his arrival in Nashville, Stephen has been quietly developing his sound alongside producer/songwriters Neil Mason + Mat Sherman as Badlands Management and xxiii Music. Stephen started off strong in 2018 with his debut to the country scene, “Summer Cool”, which was featured on the New Music Friday playlist on Spotify and found it’s way on to the US viral 50 chart and has gained over 4 million streams. Rolling Stone caught on quickly and named Stephen one of the "10 New Country Artists You Need To Know". Stephen released his follow-up “Wrecks Me”, which has reached over 3 million streams and was featured on the Introducing Country playlist on Amazon Music, along with a vertical video which debuted in the top spot on the New Boots playlist on Spotify. After signing with Braeden Rountree at William Morris and getting some touring under his belt, Stephen released his latest single “The Way It Goes”
"Sounds like: A Florida native's physical (and musical) relocation to Nashville, combining the sounds of his home turf — shoreline swagger, summery pop hooks, the amped-up guitars of Southern rock — with Tennessee mojo."
